The Caran River is a large river in Arces, dominating the entire region. It is also considered to be the homeland of the River-dwelling branch of the Arcesian peoples.
The climate of the river varies greatly from the delta to its source in the Umuya mountains. Although it mostly flows through that of a mediterranean climate, it sometimes wanders through more semi-arid parts, particularly as it reaches the Umuyas.
